Namibia Youth Education - Cancer Fighting Mobilization!

1 February 2018 to 1 December 2018

The Cancer Association of Namibia (WO30) have supported the We CAN. I CAN. campaign since 2016, and we are proud to deliver on our aim to educate Namibians on cancer with the great information supplied through this campaign.

In 2016 we printed and launched the "WE CAN. I CAN. NAMIBIA CAN - Fight cancer" manual.

In 2017 we adopted this manual into the "CANCER EDUCATION GUIDE for NAMIBIA".

And in 2018 we adopt a youth-focused angle to the campaign: "Young Lives Matter - Fight Cancer Namibia".

In this, the final of our own 3-year campaign under the WE CAN, I CAN guidance, we now move from mainstream media and public, to focussing primalriy on the youth exclusively. It is our vision to serve as change activator and bring together our knoweldge as umbrella cancer body in Namibia by partnering with Ministry of Education, Ministry of Health and Social Services and Office of the First Lady to address hot topics such as youth lifestyle choices, sexual behaviour, HPV and HIV and its influence on cancer in addition to all other cancer-impacting lifestyle choices such diet, fitness, tobacco and alchohol use and uv radiation exposure

The campaign will be conducted through school outreaches, radio and tv talks and social media and printed campaiging.
