Objective

World Cancer Day 2025 aims to bring together government agencies, private organizations, healthcare professionals, and communities to:

• Raise awareness of cancer prevention, early detection, and treatment.
• Showcase collaborative efforts in strengthening cancer care access in Quezon City.
• Empower communities to take proactive roles in cancer prevention and advocacy.
• Accelerate the implementation of the "30-Day Screening to Treatment" initiative.

Event Highlights

Opening Ceremony

• 8:00 AM: Registration and Welcome Activity, including the distribution of campaign materials for "ACT NOW: 30-Day Screening to Treatment."
• Invocation and National Anthem.

1. Welcoming Remarks: Hon. Maria Josefina Belmonte-Alimurung, Mayor of Quezon City, on "Quezon City's Commitment to Cancer Control."
2. Opening Remarks: Dr. Corazon A. Ngelangel, Philippine Cancer Society, discussing the society’s contributions to advocacy, education, and patient support.
