Happy World Cancer Day

Farah Saeed Trust is a voluntary project made of committed individuals from different sectors who come together to inspire, educate and help others. We have designed and organised a range of products and events to benefit the diverse global community dedicated especially for World Cancer Day 2025-2027 campaign 'UnitedByUnique'.

Cancer affects everyone differently and a people-centred approach is necessary to achieve the best health outcomes globally

What has FST planned this year?

1) Inspiring poetry book

🌎 To reach every heart that needs hearing words to strengthen and enlighten every patient, carer, relative, and healthcare professional on their journey.

2)  Art Without Words

🌎 As part of human nature, we tend to misunderstand how anyone feels when they hear the word cancer.

Art is a way of expressing emotions that is contemplated differently to each person who visualises it.

3) The 365 Notebook

🌎 This notebook can be used for daily journaling or for educational or work purposes.

🌎 Write your thoughts without being judged.

4) An insight into patient care

🌎 This is a lecture on YouTube which you can watch in your free time where Dr Hafsa Waseela Abbas, @hafsa_waseela_abbas aims to share why it is important to prioritise patient care, especially in cancer, and measures taking place to facilitate this in the UK and what World Cancer Day team are aiming to do as part of UnitedByUnique campaign.

5) Media platforms

The modest and inspiring Kathleen Roche-Nagi (Aunty) performs a weekly show on Unity FM radio station every Tuesdays 5pm called Parenting Hour.

She has kindly invited The FST to talk about World Cancer Day.

6) Walk All Over Cancer March 2025

One of our volunteers, Hafsa and her husband Najib want to boost their sporting fitness this March 2025 by joining Cancer Research UK's 10,000-step challenge called Walk All Over Cancer.

Cancer Research UK is the leading charity that supports life-saving research in diagnosing and treating cancer.
