Cancer Awareness Activity

As part of the World Cancer Day 2026 observance, the Malabar Cancer Care Society, Kannur, in collaboration with the Tirurangadi Municipality, is jointly organizing a Cervical and Breast Cancer Awareness Programme under its women’s welfare initiative. The programme will be held on 4 February 2026 at 10:30 a.m. at the Municipal Auditorium, Tirurangadi. The event will be inaugurated by Smt. C. P. Habeeba Basheer, Chairperson of Tirurangadi Municipality. The presidential address will be delivered by M. Abdurahiman Kutty, Vice Chairperson, while Iqbal Kallungal, Chairman of the Welfare Committee, will also grace the occasion. The key awareness session will be conducted by Dr. Harsha G, Medical Officer, Malabar Cancer Care Society, Kannur, focusing on the importance of early detection, prevention, and screening of cervical and breast cancers. The programme aims to enhance awareness among women and the general public, promoting preventive health practices and timely medical intervention.
