Commemoration of World Cancer Day

Activity 1.  2nd Feb 2025, Youtube Video creation ; Commemoration of  World Cancer Day 2025 with the theme " United By Unique" by 16 young volunteers; doctors, nurses, cancer survivors, a new cancer patient, family member and PYHS & SYHSCF members participated.

Activity 2.   2nd Feb 2025, In person Event at Lake Side lawn, Inya Lake Hotel, Yangon; Commemoration of World Cancer Day 2025 with the slogan " United In Our Goals Unique In Our Needs." Invited 129 Volunteers; ( 33 ) doctors, ( 11 ) nurses, ( 55 ) cancer survivors,( 30 ) SYHSCF & Pink Rose EC Board Members.

 2.1. Creative building the Theme letters " United By Unique " with 14 young volunteers in one group, total 6 groups. 

2.2. Raising Collective Voices On Cancer Awareness Group Work ( 84 young volunteers in 6 groups with topics on cancer prevention, early detection, treatment and survivorship.

2.3. Honoring cancer survivors with gifts contributed by EC Board members.

Activity 3.   4th Feb 2025, In person Exercise Snacking Event at People's Park Yangon, Commemoration of World Cancer Day 2025 with the theme " United By Unique" by  34 Pink Rose & SYHSCF Volunteers.

3.1.   Group exercise and raising awareness on cancer risk reduction by exercise snacking. 

Promising research shows that even tiny amounts of activity can dramatically reduce cancer risk, which could be a game-changer for people who don't like to exercise.( Source: Penny Woods, https://www.wcrf.org/about-us/news-and-blogs/vigorous-exercise-and-the-science-behind-exercise-snacking/. 10th Jan,2024.)

3.2.  Survey on Attitudes and Knowledge About Exercise and Cancer Prevention with an objective to understand people's attitudes and knowledge regarding the effects on regular exercise on cancer prevention. Survey responses will help provide insights into public awareness and potential barrier to exercise.
