Miss Baheya

Details
Baheya, meaning "beautiful," "splendid," "radiant," or "shining" in Arabic, is more than just a name. It embodies the spirit of the organization and the women it serves. Baheya was named after a generous woman who wished to support underprivileged women diagnosed with cancer. After losing her own battle with the disease, her children, honoring her wish, kindly donated her home to women diagnosed with cancer. Her story, and the stories of the women Baheya supports, continue to inspire.
For five years, Baheya has hosted the heartwarming "Miss Baheya" event, a celebration of the incredible talents and strength of these remarkable women. This year, in conjunction with World Cancer Day and its #UnitedByUnique campaign, the event shone a spotlight on the unique journeys and accomplishments of these fighters. At Baheya, the focus is always on treating the person, not just the disease. They provide people-centered care, creating a supportive and encouraging environment where each woman can thrive and shine, both inside and outside the hospital.
"Miss Baheya" is a testament to the belief that these women are so much more than their diagnosis. A distinguished panel of experts carefully reviewed the fighters' diverse talents and accomplishments, recognizing their resilience and spirit. The event culminates in the crowning of one fighter as "Miss Baheya," recognizing the exceptional talent she showcased. This special event is a powerful reminder of the beauty and strength that radiates from within these incredible women, a true reflection of Baheya's mission to celebrate life and hope in the face of adversity. Because at Baheya, every cancer fighter is Baheya – shining, radiant, and beautiful.
