Details

Peer influence plays a major role in junior high school, making students more susceptible to trying various tobacco products such as cigarettes, e-cigarettes, and heated tobacco.

Studies have shown that the age of first-time tobacco use continues to decline. In response, our association has held more than 1000 tobacco prevention education sessions over the years in remote towns and rural areas across Taiwan. Through these efforts, we aim to help students understand the harmful effects of tobacco on the human body, develop healthy and accurate perspectives, and stay protected from the threat of disease.

Beyond health education, the program also teaches students how to take on a positive role within their families—encouraging parents, relatives, and friends to quit smoking and avoid the dangers of nicotine.

By empowering young people with knowledge, we hope to create smoke-free homes and healthier communities, one student at a time.
