World Cancer Day 2025

This World Cancer Day, we celebrate half a century of the meaningful existence of the Meherbai Tata Memorial Hospital (MTMH) as it completes the milestone of 50 glorious years of dedicated service. This historic celebration was graced by Dr R. N. Sharma - Chairman, MTMH, and Chanakya Chaudhary - Vice President, Corporate Services, Tata Steel. Among others present were several esteemed dignitaries, cancer survivors, prominent citizens and doctors, and the dedicated MTMH staff.

From being inaugurated by the visionary J.R.D. Tata in 1975, to revolutionising cancer care with state-of-the-art resources today, MTMH has stood as a beacon of hope for patients and families across Jharkhand and beyond. By being empanelled in the Ayushman Bharat Scheme as well as the Jharkhand Mukhyamantri Gambhir Bimari Yojana, MTMH is extending it's care to underprivileged patients too.

Unveiling a yearlong activity plan of impactful initiatives including HPV vaccination drives, rural screening camps, a special oncology conference, and the Jubilee OT block inauguration — MTMH continues its mission of making quality cancer care accessible to all.
