Details
Rajiv Gandhi Cancer Institute and Research Centre (RGCIRC), a leading institution in cancer care and research organized a special vaccination camp in association with Children Unbound Foundation and Salcomp to mark World Cancer Day 2025.
As part of the event, 150 girls aged 15–20 years were administered free doses of the human papillomavirus (HPV) vaccine, ensuring protection against high-risk HPV types that are known to cause cervical cancer.
The initiative aimed to promote HPV vaccination as a primary preventive measure against cervical cancer.
Speaking about the initiative, Indu Aggarwal, Head of Department, Preventive Oncology, RGCIRC, said, “While many cancers, including cervical cancer, are preventable, the challenge lies in raising awareness and improving access to care.
