Hello, esteemed ladies,

First of all, I wish health to all of you in the group and beyond.

My name is Aida Mashkulli, I am 61 years old, and in 2017, I was diagnosed with breast cancer for the first time.

How did I realize I had cancer:

One night, I felt a pain in my chest and touched the area, noticing a lump that moved. I showed it to my friend, but he told me not to worry as it was nothing. I didn’t make it a big deal. A few days later, I met my sisters and a friend, who is now in heaven, and I showed them the lump. She immediately told my sister, who is a doctor, and that’s how I started seeing doctors to have tests done.

When I found out I had cancer from the biopsy, I was a little worried, but I relied on Allah and the love and care of my family, who gave me the strength to keep going. It’s so meaningful to have a circle of people who love you, care for you, and support you. May Allah protect our loved ones.

After the surgery performed by Dr. Elvis, I began chemotherapy, again with the support of my family. It pained me to see my sons, who were in their studies, so worried when they saw my hair falling out. They even wanted to shave their hair to support me.

These days were the most stressful and exhausting, as I also faced many challenges due to the chemotherapy. But first, I thank Allah, then my doctors, and especially Mrs. Violeta, who supported me and provided me with prosthetics and a wig. I am also deeply grateful to my family, whose strength and willpower have brought me to where I am today.

Thank you, with respect,
Aida
