I was diagnosed with Acute Myeloid Leukemia back in 2019. I underwent chemotherapy treatment, and it was incredibly difficult, especially on the days when I had to endure almost every side effect imaginable. But I got through it by staying positive, talking to friends, and sharing my chemo journey through photos.
After seven months of treatment, I was finally in remission—but the hard part didn’t end there. This time, it became a mental battle: the fear that the cancer might return, that I might have to stay in the hospital again, or that my body might never fully recover. I sought professional help and immersed myself in the world of video games, especially since it was during the pandemic and lockdowns were in effect.
Games became my sweet escape.
Now, five years into remission, I can proudly say that I am a survivor. I dream of inspiring others to never lose hope—because cancer is treatable, beatable.
