How has cancer touched your life or your community?

Cancer bites off much more than it can chew and it has touched my life and that of my community in more ways than one.

What challenges or emotions have come up for you?

Fear and uncertainty are two key terms that characterize cancer diagnosis.
But the right type of medical intervention and a strong support system make the burden a lot lighter.
Ultimately, taking it all to God in prayer calms the frayed nerves.

How have you been involved or inspired to act?

That journey birthed HEARTS AND ROSES CANCER ADVOCACY FOUNDATION.
It is the channel through which I have continued to create awareness and educate people about cancer prevention, early detection, screening, treatment and healthy living practices.

What lessons, insights, or messages would you share?

We're a unique people bound by circumstance hence the need for a more compassionate, empathetic and human-centred approach in care-giving.

What lessons, experiences, or messages would you share to help others feel supported, seen, or empowered?

Prioritize your health and speak up without fear of stigmatisation because our stories are potentially universal.
