Hello Everyone,

I'm Priyanka Naidu, 37 Yr old from Bilaspur, Chhattisgarh, India. In Year 2019 .. a mom of two , aged 8 and 2 , I was living my best life with my husband and mother in a law ..a family full of love and care. I was looking forward to get back to my job as a elementary school teacher after a long break ,  as I became mother of my youngest son who just turned 2 . One day i felt a lump on my left breast , i thought it could be a milk lump because my 2 year old was still on feed . I rushed to meet my gynaecologist and she suggested me few test and my whole world came crashing down .. my entire sense of stability and happiness suddenly collapsed .. as she told me the test reports suggests that i have developed breast cancer .. though the stage was not yet determined. We rushed to Hyderabad and there i got to know i have stage 4 metastatic breast cancer as the cancer has spread to my liver aswell . My oncologist in hyderabad, dr senthill rajjappa .. suggested me the best available treatment for breast cancer available at that time for the stage 4 metastatic breast cancer. . Also i was told that i might have merely 2.5 years left .. i felt shattered and my heart sank initially .. but the unwavering support and the limitless love my family showed me .. caused me to muster up all the courage i needed to fight this terminal illiness . Belonging to a middle class family it was extremely hard for us to afford the projected cost of the treatment , which was then suggested by my oncologist but we never gave up , we created a campaign for our fundraiser on milaap( an online fundraising platform ) an we managed to raise decent amount for the cause . My journey to fight this deadly disease Started from December 2019 . I went thorough all the suggested chemotherapy rounds.. and my body showed excellent results as there was no trace of cancer left  ,the doctors told me i would be kept on my maintenance dose so that the cancer doesnt come back . I was doing well and recovering from my disease pretty good ..but jan 2021 i started getting jitters and felt piercing headache .. then i met my local oncologist dr pushkal who suggested me few tests and i got to know that the present drug that i was on , was fighting the cancer well , all over my body but the drug couldnt reach my brain because of the brain body barrier and that is why i have developed a tumor in my brain. The doctors suggested me radiation to control the tumour developed inside my brain. I went through innumerable ups and downs , be it physical or mental .. i felt like giving up sometimes but i never gave up. My local oncologist dr pushkal played a significant role in my journey of battling  cancer for the last 5 years .. not only deciding the right course of action for my treatment but he has always been a great emotional and mental support for me. It is correctly said that *A good doctor treats the disease , a great doctor treats the patient*
