You are not alone
Person with a lived experience of cancer

Dr. Theresa, United States

Ovarian Cancer Survivor • 20+ Years Cancer-Free • A Testimony of Grace, Grit & God’s Faithfulness
Twenty years ago, I heard the words no woman ever imagines will be spoken over her life: “You have ovarian cancer.” In a single moment, my world shifted. Time slowed. Priorities rearranged themselves. And everything that once felt certain became fragile.
But even in the shock of that diagnosis, I remember a still, quiet Voice anchoring my spirit:
“Daughter, you will live and not die. This is not the end of your story.”
The Early Days: Faith, Fear & a Fighting Spirit
The days following my diagnosis were both surreal and sacred. Fear tried to whisper its worst-case scenarios, yet faith roared louder. I woke up every morning choosing life—choosing hope—choosing to believe that God’s hand was still writing my story.
I will forever be grateful for Dr. Deger, the brilliant, compassionate medical doctor who led my care team with excellence, humanity, and unwavering skill. She was more than a physician—she became a divine instrument assigned to my healing.
Every procedure, every follow-up, every moment of uncertainty… she guided with steady wisdom and genuine empathy.
The Journey Through Treatment
Cancer is not just a physical battle—it is emotional, spiritual, and deeply identity-shifting.
There were days my body felt weak, but my spirit grew stronger. There were nights I cried, but I never felt abandoned. My family, my faith, and my internal resolve held me together.
I learned to honor rest.
I learned to listen to my body.
I learned to allow others to care for me.
And most importantly…
I learned that healing is a journey, not a moment.
A Miraculous Recovery
When the treatments ended and the scans grew clearer, a new chapter emerged—one filled with gratitude so deep it almost felt indescribable. I wasn’t just surviving…
I was emerging. Transforming. Becoming.
Twenty-plus years later, I stand as a living testimony. Not just cancer-free, but purpose-full.
How the Experience Changed Me Forever
My ovarian cancer journey birthed a deeper calling in me—a passion to help women live fuller, more courageous, more aligned lives.
It intensified my empathy.
It sharpened my voice.
It awakened my mission to guide other women into emotional, spiritual, and personal healing.
This experience became a cornerstone of the woman I am today:
a healer, a coach, a teacher, a mother, a visionary, and a witness to God’s power.
My Legacy Message
If my journey has taught me anything, it is this:
Healing is possible. Hope is real.
God still works miracles.
And you are always stronger than the storm assigned to break you.
I survived ovarian cancer.
I thrived beyond it.
And today, I carry this testimony not as a wound, but as a weapon—a reminder that I was truly made for more.
