Joey Barnes

If Joey hadn’t crossed paths with testicular cancer, he would be here today. Sadly, he was diagnosed too late. Determined to break the taboos surrounding this disease, he shared his journey with humor and courage through a podcast series he called Having a Ball.

After his death, his family and close friends created Having a Ball – The Joseph Barnes Association for Testicular Cancer Awareness. Because of his story, his courage, and his fight, many young men now know they need to check their balls – and some are alive today because they did. His fight will never be in vain. Testicular cancer still kills. That’s why we keep going.
