I had a Cerebellar Stroke on 1/10/2021 during my trying to recover my wife and I lost our 2yr old son Gabriel to stage 4 Wilms Tumors/Cancer on November 7, 2022. Shortly thereafter, the Philadelphia VA Hospital sent me to Penn hospital for Pancreatic Cancer Screening that came back negative. 
     While going through in-home physical and occupational therapies a phlebotomist would come to my home weekly to draw my blood because I was on the blood thinner Warfarin and they had to make sure that my vitamin K levels weren't high. Last year out of the blue my primary at the VA hospital decided to get my PSA level tested it came back at 37 they tested me again and it was still the same number. I was informed that a high psa is "4". I was then rushed to urology for a Biopsy which came back that I had stage 3C Prostate Cancer with a Gleason Score of 4+3. 
     After going to several Cancer treatment centers I chose Jefferson Hospital in Philadelphia. I went through radiation therapy and now I have a PSA of 0.017. I still have to go to the VA for the Eligard injections which has me going through heat flashes, ED, etc... after much research and various oncologists and medical professionals I've found out that had only the VA hospital done regular annual PSA testing for the past 8 years this all could've been avoided being as though I am/was considered "high risk" because I'm black, over 50 and the fact that my wife and I share 50% of the PALB2 GENE and we lost our 2yr old son Gabriel two years ago to stage 4 Wilms Tumors and Cancer on November 7th 2022 and we had his brother Elliott on November 8th 2023  two weeks ago or so I had another cancer scare because of the side effects from the hormone (Eligard)injections  i gained weight and developed male breasts and my oncologist found a lump under my right nipple and I had to get a mammogram and ultrasound but was diagnosed with gynecomastia.
Apologies for the lengthy message it's just my horrible story over the past almost 5 years My primary doctor at the VA hospital here in Philadelphia out of the blue said i need to get my PSA level tested this was 2 years ago when I was 57 years old my PSA came back at 38. I was then told that the "high psa level was "4". So, my primary doctor had me tested again and it came back the same. At that point, I was scheduled for a Biopsy I was then diagnosed with stage 3C Prostate Cancer and had a Gleason Score of 4+3 had to go through radiation and had to get Eligard injections (hormone therapy) in my stomach for several more years until this pastJune of 2025. I Went to several attorneys to try suing the VA hospital for negligence because had they done simple annual blood tests for the past 9 years i wouldn't have cancer no lawyer wants to go against the VA and all of my claims from the VA have been denied. My oncologist at the VA hospital found a lump under my right nipple because I've complained of severe pain so I was told that they'd schedule me for a mammogram and ultrasound in which my wife and I scheduled two appointments for the testing at Fox Chase Cancer Center and Jefferson Oncology. The 1st available was at Fox Chase and the oncologist there was in contact with the surgeon and the Oncology team at Jefferson Hospital they diagnosed me with having gynecomastia and the 50lbs. that I gained along with the man breasts are effects of the Hormone injections. So all of the erectile dysfunction, the cancer, the weight gain etc is all because my primary doctor at the VA hospital never did a simple blood test. I have a service connected Disability on my right knee that is continously getting worse since I had a Cerebellar Stroke and because I've gained 50lbs because I have stage 3C Prostate Cancer and had to get hormone injections all because my primary doctor on the green team failed to do a simple annual PSA test. 
I can barely walk up steps or barely stand without my knee buckling and me eventually falling. I've submitted several claims/appeals and have been denied. I've spoken with my caseworker, so, etc... I have a household of four and just received a rental increase of nearly $200 that will begin February 1st. I have seen doctors, I've complained about the pain and falls to my primary doctor at the VA hospital but...
