Person with a lived experience of cancer
Lara, Canada

I was diagnosed at the age of 32 with an aggressive breast cancer and a genetic mutation in BRCA1. That was 13 years ago. Some of us are living with side effects and risk for a very long time, if not the rest of our lives. We need access to consistent long-term primary care, mental health support and employment support. Peer support was really great to receive (and provide for others)- we need to continue to scale these models for young adults with cancer globally.
