Person with a lived experience, Zimbabwe

Prostate cancer turned my life upside down by making me fragile. I no longer have the strength to do things I used to do physically, because there is no strength in me. I no longer work to sustain my family financially, since I was self employed.
I feel I have become a burden to my children and wife as they are always working hard to provide and make sure I get all the treatment required. I have a very supportive wife and children who ensure I get everything required to get fit. My life will never be the same again, but I thank God I am living. I am now living a life of pain ,medication and numb feet and hands making me incapable, though, I have learnt to be self sufficient. I thank God for this new life because I am now used to it and learning new tricks to navigate through. That is my story.
