I never imagined that I would end 2024 with a part of my body removed. Breast cancer turned my life upside down in that, I am more conscious of my body appearance, I can no longer go braless .My right breast was removed completely, the cancer was stage 2. People give me stares when I am not wearing my prosthesis. My body has changed & I have gained weight. I feel hot most of the times. There was a time I couldn't recognize my skin ,the effects of chemotherapy also took a toll on me, money for drugs and transport to and from Harare was a challenge. I am now waiting for radiation. With God on my side I am going strong.
