I myself am fortunately not directly affected by cancer, but in my family I have seen what kind of impact this disease can have on patients and families. No one remains unmoved by what the impact is, and for me it's extremely important to listen to their stories, certainly not to minimize anything, and to support them in good and bad moments.
Uncertainty! The uncertainty weighs enormously heavily on the person and everyone around them, such as family and friends. Additionally, I think it's a wonderful quality that despite the terrible illness, you can maintain a positive outlook on life and want to dedicate yourself to fellow sufferers.
I myself have jumped on the bandwagon to support everyone affected by cancer and primarily the research into this disease. By actively committing myself to the '100km voor Kom op tegen kanker', both during the event and in the fundraising campaigns.
Showing emotions is allowed, getting angry is allowed! Talk with your loved ones and fight the disease together.
