The African Organisation for Research and Training in Cancer (AORTIC) Conference 2025 took place in Hammamet, Tunisia, from 2-5 November. 750 participants came together under the theme: “Advancing Cancer Care Across Africa: Equity through Empowering Research and Education.”

AORTIC is an African-based NGO that is dedicated to cancer control and palliation in Africa. It is a member of the Union for International Cancer Control. 

UICC staff, Board, and members from around the world were present to connect with many inspiring people across the cancer community. We had the opportunity to share updates on our work and the second year of the global World Cancer Day campaign "United by Unique", held on 4 February each year.
